Various social services and welfare programs are being carried out in this municipality through the municipal MSWD Social Worker and Day Care Workers. Some of the social welfare thrust program and service are:

1. Self-employment assistance program for generating projects to enable the low income people to improve their living standards through the assistance of "TULONG PUHUNAN".



2. Day Care services in the form of children welfare activities so as to provide the malnourished pre-school children supplementary feeding socialization and creative experience while their mother are at work. Classes were opened in brgys. where there are malnourished children.

Other services in the form of:

• Helping victims of disasters



• Helping indigent family/families secure medical services.



• Supplemental feeding activities in the depressed communities.



• Recruiting leadership trainee to attend MSSD seminar.



• Help in housing units for indigent families.

At present there are existing Mabini Jeepney Operators and Drivers Association and Mabini Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association in this Municipality. When the construction/improvement of the Mabini Circumferential road is completed, motorist can now pass either via Anilao or via Talaga.

Since tis municipality is a peninsula, water transportation is possible via Batangas and Balayan Bays. Air transport in terms of personal or hired air carriers especially by means of helicopter, entry to this municipality is possible through all points. Due to the completion of construction of Bauan Mabini Roads, Tourism and Business Industry in this municipality has greatly improved.

The Mabini Waterworks System in the Poblacion is catering services to 14 brgys. like Poblacion, Sampaguita, P. Niogan, P. Balibaguhan, Talaga East, Talaga Proper, Saguing, Gasang, Sta. Ana, San Juan, San Francisco, Mainaga, Bulacan, Pulang Lupa and part of Anilao East. There is another one in Anilao East under the Usaid assistance, the barangay water program of the provincial government. It serves four barangays namely: Anilao East, Anilao Proper, Majuben and San Jose. Its source is a deep well operated by electric water pump.

Spring has been improved but there are many more brgys. especially the depressed areas needing financial assistance for the construction of reservoirs, extension of pipeline and for the improvement and development of springs.

Waterworks project aside from road building is a priority program of this municipality so as to improve the supply of potable water inn the 14 mountainous brgys, including agricultural areas and livestock production.

The municipality of Mabini composed of 34 brgys. is serviced by the BATANGAS ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE, INC. II, for its power needs tapped from NPC. The Municipality of Mabini is very fortunate because all the 34 brgys. even the most remote brgys. or sitio in the municipality were totally energized in 1990.

At present, there are potential sources of geothermal energy in the municipality. There is at Barangay Mainit known as "MAINIT HOT SPRING" connected to the Spring at brgy. Sto. Tomas. These sites are presently the study of a group of specialist from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources & PGI to determine the generating capacity of said source.

The year 2004 is a fruitful year for the Municipality of Mabini, Financial condition has greatly improved thus making many projects to be implemented in various barangay.

Despite the improvement of the financial condition of this Municipal Government, still the resources of this 3rd class municipality is inadequate to fully develop the entire locality and due to this, we are requesting the help of National and Foreign agencies to be our partners in developing this town into a more progressive, prosperous, productive and peaceful community to live in.
