Thereafter, on motion of Mr. Ricardo Sandalo seconded by Mr. Joey Fullon, the CRM Plan
being reviewed was fully adopted by the Board as a working guide or framework of the
CRM Board for the next five years. CRM Plan is expected to be distributed on the next
board meeting for finality and be ready for submission purposely for the adoption of
the Sangguniang Bayan of Mabini, Batangas.
e) Updates on the On-going Activities re: management of Marine Sanctuaries
In this agenda, Ms. Jinki Makalintal of CCEF reported the following as to the on-going
activities for marine sanctuaries:
- Marine protected area database network system
- Status of marine sanctuaries cited on Saving Philippines Reefs
- Presentation of the actual condition of the Marine Sanctuaries along sitio's
of Balanoy, San Teodoro Proper and Aguada of Barangay San Teodoro, Parang and
Balitian of Barangay Bagalangit on November 22 and 28 2005 respectively
- Meeting with diving course directors
- Reactivation of BFARMC (Bagalangit and San Teodoro)
- Validation of marine sanctuary coordinates with MENRO Officer and Bantay Dagat
- Forthcoming activities for December 2005
- ROAM involvement to MPA management

On agenda proposed budget of CRM Trust Fund of year 2006 questions/clarifications
were the following:
- Installation of MPA enforcement structures under MPA management estimated
to P200,000.00

- for Responsible Tourism she reminded the body on the plan for having
decompresson chamber
Mr. Angel Sawali
- M/BFARMC strengthening under Organizing and Institution Building suggested
increase to P150,000.00
Coun. Ireneo Alolod
- Suggested that instead of hiring additional Bantay Dagat members increase
salary of the selected seven (7)
IV. Other Matters:
- Status of ADBA forming into multi-purpose cooperative
For ADBA, Mr. Simplicio Isla as the elected Chairman reported on the on-going
registration of their cooperative with Cooperative Development Authority (CDA)
thru the Provincial Cooperative Development Office (PCDO), Batangas. However, he
informed also the board that they have already engaged to business by way of
selling gasoline to its members.
- Mr. Sandalo clarified to the board the implementation of penalties as
experienced (Tingloy) but the board decided to implement stipulations of
Ordinance 03-2002 (Conservation Fee Ordinance)
- The board agreed to have a special board meeting for the approval of the
proposed budget and a Christmas Party of the Bantay Dagat.
